Weld County Court Calendars Explained
For state trial-court settings in Weld County, the Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search is the main calendar. Its Weld County filter pulls in both Weld District Court and Weld County Court. The data reflects live Weld public records. It is not a certified copy, and the full ROA and linked filings are left out.
Municipal calendars sit apart from that system. Greeley runs a last-name and date-of-birth lookup for upcoming city settings. Windsor crosses the Weld County line. It publishes annual court dates, and Evans posts a calendar you can download. Erie links its schedule through the municipal gateway. Firestone publishes town sessions. Whatever the case, use the Weld court named on your summons or citation.
| Calendar | Covers | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| State docket search | Weld District and County Court hearings | Combined Courts clerk |
| Municipal schedule | City ordinance and municipal traffic settings | Issuing city's clerk |
| Newest notice or order | Case-specific date and appearance directions | Assigned division |
Weld County Court Date Filters
A date alone will not carry a Weld County state search. Stack on at least one more Weld filter. Options include Judicial District, county, courthouse, court type, division, case-number pieces, party, business, or attorney. The strongest path uses the four-digit year, case class, and sequence. Pull them straight off the newest paperwork. Otherwise a common name can drag back a big pile of Weld cards.
| Field group | Useful input | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Court | 19th District, Weld, District or County | Keeps the result in the right venue |
| Date | Range or exact day | Limits the calendar window |
| Case | Year, class, sequence | Targets one matter |
| Party | Individual or business name | Helps when the number is unknown |
| Attorney | Name or bar number | Finds counsel-linked settings |
The same hearing can show up twice in the Weld County system as separate party cards. Before you count two Weld court dates, match the case number and the setting fields.
Finding Your Court Date
Use every official channel when a Weld County court date matters. The online calendar is fast, sure. But the newest Weld summons, setting notice, or order may hold extra directions. The card may leave them out. When sources disagree, the Weld clerk and the courtroom have the final word.
- Read the most recent court paper and identify the filing court and case number.
- Search the statewide Weld docket with a date plus another filter.
- Compare the time, duration, hearing type, appearance type, courtroom, and full case number.
- For a virtual or telephone setting, use only the division link or directions authorized by the court.
- Call 970-475-2400, visit the Centennial Center counter, or contact the municipal clerk when the date is absent or conflicts.
- On the hearing day, follow current posted courthouse information and instructions from the clerk or division.
The Weld County courts promise no separate daily printed calendar online. On hearing day, what is posted at the courthouse still controls. You can also ask the Weld clerk about counter access or a public terminal. Confirm its Weld County availability. Do that before you drive over.
Weld County Court Date Fields
A live Weld hearing card shows eight groups of detail: date and time, duration, displayed name, case number, hearing type, county location, appearance type, and courtroom. That is where the information stops. It does not show the filing date, the judge, charge or cause details, lawyers, pleadings, the financial ledger, a final disposition, or a complete ROA.
- Duration
- The estimated minutes, hours, or days set aside.
- Hearing Type
- The event label, such as status conference, jury trial, or sentencing hearing.
- Appearance Type
- IN PERSON, VIRTUAL, or TELEPHONE, which is distinct from the hearing's purpose.
- Courtroom
- The assigned room, number, letter, or division code.
Export Results and Printable Version will save the list on your screen. Any saved copy can go stale after a reset, so check again near the hearing.
How to Read a Court Setting
Read a court setting as a whole, not one field at a time. Party names can run short. Several party cards may point to one hearing. The case number ties the card to the right file, and the hearing type tells you why the case is set. Appearance type shows how the assigned participant is expected to show up. Courtroom or division gives you the last routing clue.
| Date and Time | The current scheduled start shown by the live calendar |
|---|---|
| Duration | The court's estimated block, not a promise of an exact end time |
| Case Number | Year, class, and sequence, such as 2026CR#### |
| Hearing Type | Status, trial, sentencing, custody, or other listed event |
| Appearance Type | In person, virtual, or telephone |
| Courtroom | The room or division code to confirm with the notice |
A bare "Hearing" label may hide the subject. Pull that detail from the latest order or notice.
Weld County Court Calendar Returns
Weld County Court publishes local Division C patterns that break from the usual assumptions about hearings. FED returns run on weekdays at 8:00 a.m., apart from closures. Friday money returns split by plaintiff lawyer surname. A through L comes at 8:30 a.m., and M through Z comes at 1:30 p.m. The court calls that summons return a non-appearance event.
Small-claims returns are in person. They land on Tuesday or Thursday at 1:15 p.m., subject to availability. These patterns help you decode the Weld County court calendar. They never outrank the current summons or case-management order. A changed date, a division order, or a closure can still control.
Calendar distinction: A return date can serve a case-management purpose and may not be the trial or even a required appearance.
Probate settings run on the published probate lines at 970-475-2505 or 970-475-2506. Municipal court patterns apply only to their own city cases.
Continuances, Resets, and Cancellations
A continuance pushes a setting back; a reset plants it on a new date. A cancellation or vacated setting wipes the event out. Never read any of this into an old card vanishing. The best sequence is the latest order, the current online result, and clerk confirmation. Also note that calling the court does not by itself grant a continuance.
The rules shift by court and division. Evans offers a local municipal example. A continuance request must reach its clerk at least 24 hours before court. One reset may be allowed administratively. More requests, plus trial or bond-return changes, require a judge and good cause. That is an Evans rule, not a general Weld Combined Courts rule.
When a state-court date shifts, run the docket search again. Use the same case-number pieces and a wider range. If two sources still disagree, call 970-475-2400. Follow the newest directive from the assigned division.
Weld County Court Date Access
VIRTUAL on a calendar card does not open every public Webex room. Each Weld County division has its own room and its own case order. Use those, not a random link. The public livestream is for watching only. Colorado rules bar unauthorized recording, reproduction, screenshots, or photographs of any proceeding. Access limits can also hide docket detail around a hearing. For criminal records that carry restrictions, the Colorado sealing overview is the official legislative page explaining how sealing or expungement works.
Sealed matters show little detail. The public docket may go quiet. The right move is asking the clerk what can lawfully be confirmed, since a blank entry never proves the hearing or the case did not exist.
Weld County Court Date Office
Judicial hearing dates answer to the state. The Colorado Judicial Branch and the Combined Courts clerk control every Weld County court date. Weld County administrative offices run a separate records structure. A county CORA request will not do it. That process cannot confirm or change a judicial setting, and the Weld Public Information Office page shows the proper county route.
CORA works for county records, not hearings. For anything the clerk sets, the court calendar comes first; for the broader view, the Weld County government page collects county services in one place.
Two different jobs, in short. The county government site handles services, the Judicial Branch holds court records, and the filing court alone sets the hearing date.
If You Miss a Court Setting
Miss a court date in Weld County? Act fast. Pull the current docket, read the newest notice, then call the clerk for the court that set the case. Weld District and County Court both use 970-475-2400. A municipal setting belongs to that city's clerk, and a judge's order plus the case type control what happens next.
Missed setting: A missed appearance can lead to added court action, a warrant, fees, or collection steps depending on the court and matter. Contact the clerk at once.
Each town writes its own rules. Windsor mails instructions and a new date after a first missed municipal appearance, but calling promptly is still wise. Firestone points users to their ticket correspondence and the current town calendar. Evans sets its own continuance and appearance rules. None of that changes a Weld County state-court setting. A blank result is not closure. The setting may fall outside the date range, sit in another court, sit under different data, have been reset, or carry an access limit. The Weld County case lookup can surface the state case number once available. The clerk gives the final word.
